Fractional leadership means bringing in an experienced executive on a part-time basis — for a specific

An advisor gives outside strategic input to a board, leadership team or founder, without day-to-day ownership. A mentor provides ongoing, part-time support to a leader or team — a sounding board, without taking over the role. A fractional leader takes operational ownership of an area, working alongside the team and accountable for results, just on fewer hours. An interim executive provides full coverage of a vacant role until it's filled or the transition is complete. I work across all four, depending on what the situation calls for.

My core experience is in media & entertainment and brand-led consumer businesses, but the model applies across most industries where leadership, marketing, sales or brand support is needed on a flexible basis.

Primarily leadership, marketing, sales, brand management and business development — with broader commercial and change management support built around those areas.

No. Organisations need this kind of support in both directions — during expansion, new market entry and M&A, and equally during restructuring, consolidation and downsizing. I've worked both sides.

It varies — from a few hours a week to a substantial ongoing role, depending on what's needed. Engagements can be focused and time-limited, or ongoing at a lower intensity.

Yes. I've managed brand governance and led teams across multiple territories and stakeholder groups — balancing local markets, regional teams and head-office expectations.

Anything from startups and founder-led businesses to established brands and boards. The engagement is shaped to the size and stage of the organisation.

No fixed minimum. Some projects are short and focused; others run for months on an ongoing, lightertouch basis. We agree what fits before starting.

Frequently Asked Questions

All three. Remote, on-site or hybrid, depending on what fits the organisation and the assignment.

Pricing depends on scope, time commitment and duration — typically a day rate or a retainer agreed upfront. Get in touch to discuss what would fit your situation.

Usually within days to a couple of weeks. Fast onboarding is one of the practical advantages of working this way, compared with a full executive search.

No. I'm not a recruitment agency and don't place candidates for a fee. I offer my own expertise directly, or that of people I know and trust, for urgent or temporary needs.

Engagements of this kind are often sensitive by nature, and I treat them accordingly. An NDA can be put in place before any detailed discussion, on request.
